Before starting CrossFit I had no idea what being “fit” meant. I always figured that because I was really skinny (more like scrawny) I didn’t need to go to the gym. I also felt like the most unathletic person in the world and was too afraid of going to the gym and not knowing what to do.  CrossFit came off to me as something different though. It was task oriented. Gave me a purpose for an hour. Come in, look at the assignment on the board, focus in on what’s placed in front of me, and then amaze myself by doing things I would never imagine myself doing. If it wasn't for my fantastic coaches in Virginia I would never have seen so much progress in myself; physically and mentally. CrossFit came to me at a time when my life felt like it hit a wall, but it lead me into the direction of personal training and then coaching. Why coach? Because I love it. I can’t think of a better way to help others improve their lives. And not only do I love seeing my members become physically fit, but I love seeing them leave their stress at home and become someone mentally stronger when they walk though the door.
