Mike, also known to his closest family and friends as Vinny, has dedicated his career to fitness training and coaching. The experience has spoken for itself with training history as a coach from youth training to professional sports. Some of these highlights were working as a Strength Coach for the Philadelphia Phillies, various NFL training combines in Florida, University of Texas-Pan American, Tennessee, and locally Fordham and Seton Hall athletic programs. His believe is in high velocity training while maintaining a high level of injury prevention through muscular balance.
In the world of CrossFit, Mike was the Director of Strength and Conditioning at CrossFit Spot in New York City for two years before becoming an owner with the Golden Phoenix team. While coaching in NYC, Mike linked up with Kari Pearce, and now several other athletes who have now qualified for the CrossFit Games.
Outside of the box, Mike is a father to baby Mike and husband to Natalie. Mike also teaches Kinesiology courses part time as a professor at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Mike is a former all state swimmer and baseball player where he grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island. He continued as an athlete at Keene State College in New Hampshire where he played rugby. In his continuation of education in exercise physiology, Mike received his Master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida in 2006.
