What was your exercise regime before CrossFit? Before CrossFit I would drag myself to the gym to poorly run on the treadmill or attend a group fitness class. I would hate almost every minute of it. I also switched gyms a hundred times over the past few years because that was obviously the problem...right? Once I joined Crunch and Coach Jacq became my trainer, I got a little taste of CrossFit. My feelings about working out became positive (mostly because of my half hour of socialization with Jacq), but I really started to like going to the gym! Once she told me that she and Coach Bridget were opening a CrossFit affiliate, I wished her the best of luck because there was no way I could hang with CrossFit. To show my support, I attended the first wod at GPCF. After that first day, I never looked back.
How many WODs per week do you attend? 4-5
Favorite CrossFit exercise? Deadlifts and back squats! And now pull ups, sort of. I guess I also kind of like burpees (did I say that?) because I don't die doing them now like I did at the beginning of my CrossFit journey!
Least favorite exercise? Kettle bell swings at 53#. Maybe one day I will love them...but probably not, ever.
What would you tell a newbie getting started that helped you? I would tell a newbie that they are starting the best thing to ever happen to them. I'd remind them that day in and day out they will surprise themselves and it is the most amazing feeling. I would also tell them that it's okay to cry during a wod...because everyone needs to know it's okay to cry (especially if it's 60kbs at 53#). Lastly, I would tell them how amazing the owners, coaches, and members are...because they inspire and motivate each and every day.
What would you like to accomplish in the next 3 months? In the next three months I would like to complain less about running in wods, and also become a less spastic and sloppy when I do run! I'd also like to climb up the rope...maybe not to the top just yet, but just more than a pull or two.
What is a fun fact about you? I have to share two...I went sky diving on a whim about 6 years ago! That was fun...and terrifying. I also recently came to find out that I'm the fastest speed walker that has not gone pro yet. Watch for me in the Olympics one day! It's a thing, look it up!

What would you tell a newbie getting started that helped you? Be coachable an enjoy yourself
What would you like to accomplish in the next 3 months? To get better forms on my lifts
What is a fun fact about you? I love to work in my yard with flowers
