I think without doubt our athlete of the month absolutely had to go to Laura. Laura comes in each day with a smile on her face ready to crush it with all her might. She knows exactly how to push herself to the limits and beyond in order to make each workout worth her while. We’ve never coached anyone quite like her before. Laura’s perseverance and lion heart are the things that make our jobs easy. Her eagerness to learn and perform better are the perfect qualities that every CrossFitter needs, and must have. We have the honor and pleasure to coach Laura and cannot wait for her to become an even more skilled athlete.
How did you get started with CrossFit? Jackie trained me at crunch, then opened her own box and decided to join it.
How many WOD's per week do you attend? 5-6 days
Favorite CrossFit exercise? Sit-ups and ball slams
Least favorite exercise? Squats
What would you tell a newbie getting started that helped you? Don't eat a big meal before a workout and never expect it to be easy. It is always a challenge.
What would you like to accomplish in the next 3 months? I would like to be able to run a mile, lose some weight, do a pull-up, get better at squats, be able to lift 100 pounds and do box jumps.
